Materials distribution leader Tong Hsiao (5434-TW) has released its second-quarter financial report. Benefiting from surging global demand for AI and high-performance computing (HPC), the company experienced a broad-based restocking surge across key product lines including photoresist, silicon wafers, quartz, wafer carriers, and polishing fluids. Quarterly revenue surpassed the NT$20 billion mark for the first time, reaching NT$20.83 billion. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company reached NT$1.54 billion, with earnings per share (EPS) at NT$7.92—both setting new historical highs.
Tong Hsiao’s Q2 revenue amounted to NT$20.83 billion, representing a 12.3% increase quarter-on-quarter and a 22.6% year-on-year growth, marking a record high for a single quarter. Gross margin stood at 13.5%, down 0.1 percentage points sequentially but up 1.8 percentage points annually. Operating margin was 7.1%, down 0.6 percentage points sequentially but up 1.1 percentage points year-on-year. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company reached NT$1.54 billion, up 16% quarter-on-quarter and 67.8% year-on-year, with EPS at NT$7.92.
For the first half of the year, Tong Hsiao posted cumulative revenue of NT$39.36 billion, up 20.2% year-on-year. Gross margin was 13.5%, up 1.0 percentage point annually. Operating margin reached 7.4%, up 0.8 percentage points year-on-year. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company totaled NT$2.86 billion, soaring 54.2% year-on-year, with EPS reaching NT$14.79.
Looking ahead to the second half, Tong Hsiao anticipates continued growth as advanced process nodes and advanced packaging capacities at foundries continue to ramp up, driving demand for related materials and facility engineering services. The company will deepen its high-tech core business and align with major foundry partners’ global localization strategies, strengthening semiconductor supply chain platforms in Taiwan, the U.S., Japan, and Southeast Asia. Full-year operations and profitability are expected to set new records on an already high base.
