Rongke (4989-TW), an upstream copper foil manufacturer for printed circuit boards (PCBs), conducted a rights offering at a premium price of NT$60 per share, issuing 35,000 new shares and raising a total of NT$2.1 billion from the market. Following the completion of fundraising, Rongke's newly issued shares began trading today (July 3). Fueled by strong market demand for high-speed copper foil in AI applications, the stock price surged with high trading volume, reaching the daily upper limit of NT$61.1.
Rongke reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of NT$977 million, with a gross margin of 4.93% and net profit after tax of NT$18.29 million—turning profitable compared to the same period in 2025. Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at NT$0.13. In June 2026, monthly revenue reached NT$370 million, with self-reported net profit after tax of NT$18.3 million—matching the profitability of the entire first quarter. Monthly EPS also reached NT$0.13.
Rongke is actively advancing the production of high-end high-frequency, high-speed copper foil. It is currently testing and sampling HVLP3 and HVLP4 products with customers, while HVLP5 remains under development. The end applications for HVLP3 and HVLP4 include AI PCs and AI servers.
With rapidly growing demand for AI server applications, the supply-demand gap for high-end copper foil, particularly HVLP4 (fourth-generation ultra-low-profile), is expected to widen further in 2026. Currently, fellow copper foil manufacturer Jinju (8358-TW) is also expanding and adjusting its production lines, converting capacity to produce either HVLP3 or HVLP4.
