According to CNBC, Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX (SPCX-US), stated during the opening remarks of the company's earnings call on Tuesday (4th) that all future AI data centers will exclusively use NVIDIA (NVDA-US) chips.

He projected that by the end of 2026, the company's AI computing capacity will exceed 2GW, with expectations to further increase to nearly 10GW by the end of 2027.

These AI infrastructure systems will not only support SpaceX's in-house AI model development and related services but will also be made available to cloud computing customers.

Musk described NVIDIA's Vera Rubin as the 'best AI computer' currently available, adding, 'We highly value our close partnership with NVIDIA on many levels.'

SpaceX recently announced a joint initiative with NVIDIA to develop 'space computing' technology, aiming to deploy AI models and services onto orbital satellites.

The two companies will co-design the Starmind AI1 satellite computing module. According to SpaceX, each satellite will be equipped with 'NVIDIA Rubin GPUs and Vera CPUs,' delivering space-based AI computing power comparable to data center levels.

Following Musk's endorsement of NVIDIA's 'best AI computer' and SpaceX's commitment to exclusively adopt the NVIDIA Vera Rubin processors, NVIDIA's stock price rose approximately 2% in after-hours trading.
