Suiden (1503-TW) released its latest financial report today (6th), announcing that its cumulative net profit after tax for the first half of the year reached NT$2.625 billion, an increase of over 20% year-on-year, with earnings per share (EPS) at NT$5.04—earning more than half of its paid-in capital—and setting a new historical high. Suiden remains highly confident in global AIDC demand, believing that demand will remain strong for the next five years, and expects export revenue this year to grow by 30% year-on-year.

In Q2, Suiden recorded revenue of NT$9.563 billion, down 17.27% quarter-on-quarter but up 7.93% year-on-year; gross margin was 21.84%, down 1.93 percentage points from the previous quarter and 1.01 percentage point lower than the same period last year; operating margin was 13.27%, down 2.78 percentage points sequentially but up 0.04 percentage points annually; net profit after tax was NT$1.171 billion, down 19.46% quarter-on-quarter but up 31.72% year-on-year, with EPS at NT$2.25.

For the first half of the year, cumulative revenue reached NT$21.122 billion, up 10.27% year-on-year; gross margin was 23.04%, down 0.19 percentage points year-on-year; operating margin was 14.79%, up 0.01 percentage points; net profit after tax was NT$2.625 billion, up 24.3% year-on-year, with EPS at NT$5.04.

Suiden stated that due to strong demand across the global AIDC supply chain, coupled with aggressive capacity expansions by tech firms and Taipower’s resilient grid initiative, transformer demand remains robust. As a result, the company’s operations are thriving both domestically and internationally, with full-year revenue and profits expected to grow at double-digit rates.

Regarding AIDC demand, Suiden noted that AIDC-related orders accounted for 30% of recent export orders to North America, and expects export revenue to account for 25% of total sales this year, with export revenue projected to grow 30% year-on-year.

With transformer demand currently surging, market shortages have emerged. In response, Suiden has implemented product standardization and pre-emptive procurement to build appropriate inventory levels, mitigating short-term material shortages. Overall delivery lead times remain around 80 weeks. Suiden further indicated that component suppliers are actively expanding production capacity, and output is expected to gradually increase over the next year.
