Taiwan has officially entered a super-aged society. Taishin-SK Financial Group (2887-TW) is making a major exhibition appearance at the '2026 Senior Health Industry Expo' from today (7th) to the 9th. In an interview, CEO Lin Weijun stated that with the recent approval by the Financial Supervisory Commission for bank mergers, the group will move forward toward larger scale and more balanced operations. By integrating a complete platform across banking, insurance, securities, and asset management, it aims to provide one-stop integrated solutions for aging populations. Regarding the widely discussed 'Four Loans Under One Roof' phenomenon, he emphasized that Taishin Bank has always adhered to cautious and conservative credit principles and will continue to maintain strict risk controls. He also expressed high optimism about Taiwan’s economic outlook for the second half of the year.
Addressing the vast potential of the senior market, Lin noted that while financial institutions previously offered single products, people now need comprehensive solutions covering preventive healthcare, wellness management, retirement planning, and asset succession in an aging society. Taishin-SK Financial Group’s strength lies in its human-centric corporate culture and comprehensive financial footprint, enabling it to accompany customers throughout different life stages.
On the issue of financial fraud—a top concern among seniors—Lin stressed that the group has fully implemented AI-driven anti-fraud mechanisms and senior-friendly measures. Taishin Bank demonstrated its 'Taishin Warrior Model' on-site, which uses AI to analyze abnormal transactions and suspicious behavior around the clock, issuing real-time alerts to block scams. SK Life Insurance introduced its 'Family Contact Network Service' for senior policyholders, allowing those aged 60 and above to pre-designate 'trusted contacts.' If any unusual policy activity is detected, the system proactively reaches out to confirm actions jointly, building a joint defense line for asset security. Additionally, Taishin Bank offers an interactive trust framework wall to promote awareness of 'advance trusts' and 'intergenerational wealth transfer.'
Regarding the financial market outlook for the second half, Lin holds an optimistic view. He observed that capital markets remain vibrant and loan growth in the financial sector continues, indicating sustained economic activity without deviation from normal trajectories—all within manageable limits.
With active trading in the Taiwan stock market, public attention has turned to the 'Four Loans Under One Roof' trend, raising concerns that some individuals may increase leverage to invest in equities, creating risks. In response, Lin reiterated that Taishin-SK Financial Group has consistently upheld very cautious and conservative credit standards and will continue its rigorous risk management approach.
The 2026 Senior Health Industry Expo is being held at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. Visitors participating in booth interactions can experience various AI innovation services and have a chance to win grand prizes such as a gene testing package worth NT$10,000. Taishin-SK Financial Group aims to combine technology and finance to proactively prepare for citizens’ longer lifespans and precisely safeguard their happy assets.
At this expo, Taishin-SK Financial Group adopted the theme 'Smart Finance for Health, AI Protection for Better Living,' integrating resources from its subsidiaries. Taishin Bank’s Richart Life partnered with SK Life Insurance to launch the 'Go Healthy GoFit' zone, introducing Taiwan’s first health-tiered rewards program that incentivizes healthy habits with redeemable points. SK Life launched the 'YiKa安心' critical illness insurance under its 'Critical Illness Insurance × Gene Testing Free Choice' ecosystem, integrating premium DNA decoding technology from Jiahe Health Group for early prevention. To supplement retirees’ income, SK Life simultaneously introduced the 'Secure Retirement with Protection Platform' to help plan for a third pillar of retirement funds. Taishin Securities also supports investors through its 'Haofu Invest App,' offering smart stock selection and scam alerts to enable steady portfolio building.
