OTC-listed company Renxin Pharmaceutical (6696-TW) has issued new shares due to a change in stock par value. The par value has been changed from 10 NT dollars to 1 NT dollar per share, and based on the shareholder registry as of the record date, 1 share has been split into 10 new shares. The total issued shares have increased from 82,920,000 shares to 829,200,000 shares. The OTC Center announced that Renxin Company's shares will be suspended from trading from August 20 to 28 this year, and new shares will begin OTC trading on August 31. Investors are advised to refer to the quoted prices of recommended securities firms for the trading of Renxin * shares.
The OTC Center explained that companies adopting flexible par value stocks, i.e., stocks with a par value other than 10 NT dollars, will have their stock abbreviations marked with a '*' for distinction. Investors can check related information on the OTC Center's website, including the center's official website, OTC company information, and information on OTC-listed companies with flexible par value stocks.
The OTC Center further pointed out that in the domestic securities market, earnings per share (EPS) is typically used as a basis for evaluating a company's profitability. However, under the flexible par value system, a company's earnings per share, net asset value per share, and dividends per share will not be comparable due to inconsistent stock par values. Investors are advised to refer to the company's financial reports and financial ratios published on the Public Information Observation Station, including price-to-book ratio, return on equity, dividend yield, and price-to-earnings ratio, and to comprehensively consider the company's equity scale, par value per share, and industry characteristics to better understand the company's actual operating conditions and avoid using a single financial data point as an investment analysis indicator.
The OTC Center further reminded investors that OTC stocks are a negotiated trading market driven by the quoted prices of recommended securities firms. The counterparty for each OTC stock transaction is the recommended securities firm for that stock, and the transaction price is based on the quoted price of the recommended securities firm. Investors are advised to refer to the quoted price information of the recommended securities firm when trading OTC stocks.
For information on the quoted prices of recommended securities firms and the real-time trading status of OTC stocks, investors can check the OTC stock market reports on the OTC Center's website. To help investors better understand the trading characteristics of the OTC market, the OTC Center has set up a dedicated area for OTC stock trading institutions on its official website, which includes comprehensive information such as institutional introductions, trading information, and Q&A. Investors are encouraged to make use of this resource.
