Shinsengumi Mitsukoshi, a leading department store, officially held the launch ceremony for the Taipei Station ROT Mall with Taiwan Railways on November 11, unveiling its plans for the Taipei Station Mall for the first time. Vice Chairman Wu Xinyang stated that entering Taipei Station is not just about adding another operating location, but about significantly transforming Taiwan's largest transportation hub.
Executive Vice President Wu Xinchang (also Chairman of Xinyu Development) further explained that the food and beverage ratio in the mall will be reduced to below 70%, aiming to serve the needs of different customer groups across all sectors.
Shinsengumi Mitsukoshi has been deeply involved in Taiwan's retail market. After opening the new-style Tainan Xiaobei Gate store in 2025 and collaborating with Japan's Mitsukoshi to launch the new format SKM MEN'S, the company officially entered the Taipei Station Mall in July this year, marking a major milestone in its new retail strategy.
Shinsengumi Mitsukoshi participated in the bidding for the Taipei Station Building G+2, G+1, and U-1 floor expansion, renovation, and operation transfer project in April, becoming the best applicant in accordance with the law. It completed the relevant administrative procedures within three months and, on July 25, completed the mall handover in 19 consecutive hours with 300 personnel, fulfilling the promise of 'uninterrupted operation' and officially taking over.
