According to Yahoo Finance, Super Micro Computer (SMCI-US) will release its fiscal 2026 fourth-quarter earnings after the U.S. stock market closes on Tuesday (11th). At the end of last month, the company's stock surged over 20% following a preliminary financial update.
As per filings by Supermicro, the company expects gross margins to range between 15% and 17%, significantly higher than the previously forecasted 8.2% to 8.4%. The company also reported that new orders in the fourth quarter exceeded $60 billion.
In June, CEO Charles Liang announced on X that the company plans to build a gigawatt-scale data center in collaboration with SpaceX (SPCX-US) and xAI within one year.
Bloomberg analyst consensus estimates forecast Supermicro's Q4 adjusted earnings per share (EPS) at $1.33 and revenue at $11.2 billion. In comparison, the same period last year saw EPS of $0.41 and revenue of $5.7 billion.
The market anticipates Supermicro's Q4 gross margin could reach up to 15.8%, a 9.6 percentage point increase from the same period last year.
Despite the strong preliminary update boosting its stock, Supermicro's share performance over the past year has lagged behind other AI infrastructure peers.
Supermicro's stock has declined approximately 30% over the past 12 months, compared to HPE (HPE-US), which rose about 160%, and Dell (DELL-US), which surged over 230%.
In June, Supermicro announced plans to raise up to $7 billion in equity-linked financing to support its AI infrastructure expansion.
Supermicro has also recently faced regulatory challenges. In April, following a U.S. Department of Justice indictment of co-founder Yih-Shyan (Eric) Liaw and two others for alleged violations of U.S. export control regulations, the company initiated an independent investigation. Supermicro itself was not named as a defendant in the case.
