SpaceX's AI division, SpaceXAI, officially unveiled its enterprise-grade AI agent product, Grok Bot, on Tuesday (the 11th). Positioned as a '24/7 online, tool-accessing, colleague-like worker' intelligent team, this launch comes roughly two months after SpaceX's $60 billion all-stock acquisition of the AI programming tool Cursor. It signifies Musk's move to integrate xAI into SpaceX and shift the battlefield from large model benchmarks to 'real-world office deployment'.

Grok Bot is not a chatbot. Each Bot has an independent cloud computing environment, capable of logging into users’ commonly used apps, email, and websites, performing cross-application operations, and autonomously assigning subtasks. It continues operating even when users shut down their devices, only reporting back when human approval or decision-making is needed. Multiple Bots can exchange contextual information and naturally divide tasks within group chats. Once users demonstrate a workflow once, the Bot remembers their preferences and evolves with repeated collaboration.

According to SpaceXAI, this prototype has already spontaneously spread internally across sales outreach, marketing, operations maintenance, and bug fixing.

Pricing is set at $120 per seat per month for teams and $200 for individuals. Initially available to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Premium Teams users, enterprise customers are placed on a waitlist. The platform supports macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS.

Underpinning the product is a chain of 'acquisition + compute + model'. Musk announced during SpaceX's first post-IPO earnings call last Tuesday (the 4th) that Grok 4.6 would launch this week, incorporating years of SpaceX rocket, satellite, and Starlink engineering data into its training set.

However, the battlefield is already crowded. Anthropic offers Claude Cowork and Computer Use, while OpenAI enables Codex to control third-party applications and has introduced Workspace Agents.

Grok Bot differentiates itself through its 'persistent digital colleague' concept—operating via visual simulation rather than pre-connected APIs, mimicking how humans use software. However, concerns around permissions, auditing, and security issues related to open-source models remain weaknesses.

Analysts believe Musk is redirecting aerospace engineering talent to train models, using Cursor to capture developer behavior data, and leveraging the Colossus supercomputer to reduce costs—attempting to build a vertical stack connecting 'compute – programming – office agents'. Yet, despite massive capital expenditures, AI revenue still comes with significant losses, and allowing autonomous agents to log into business systems challenges enterprises’ existing control frameworks.
