Foxconn (2317-TW) announced today that its board has approved the acquisition of land and buildings located at No. 28, Zhongshan Road, Tucheng District, New Taipei City, from Shin Hong International Investment for a total of NT$1 billion. Foxconn stated that the location and scale of the site meet the company’s long-term operational development and spatial planning needs, and that it will proceed with comprehensive planning focused on optical communications, ultra-precision molds, and precision forming-related businesses.

The acquired property is situated on Peibei Section, Lot 388, Tucheng District, New Taipei City, covering approximately 5,008.52 square meters (about 1,515 ping). The land is zoned as Class B Industrial Area, with a building coverage ratio of 60% and a floor area ratio of 210%. Based on valuation reports and development condition analyses, the reconstructed site could accommodate factory and office space ranging from approximately 3,182 to 6,364 ping.

Foxconn emphasized that this land acquisition will support the group’s medium- to long-term operational layout and production capacity planning in New Taipei City, enhancing flexibility for future industrial development and spatial configuration.

Notably, the responsible person of the seller, Shin Hong International Investment, is Kuo Tai-chiang, who is within the second degree of consanguinity to a major shareholder of Foxconn. According to the 'Financial Reporting Standards for Securities Issuers' and International Accounting Standard IAS 24, this transaction is classified as a related-party transaction and has undergone the required review and disclosure procedures.
