PC brand ASUS (2357-TW) reported strong second-quarter financial results and optimistic guidance during its earnings call. The company earned more than 2.5 times its equity in a single quarter and raised its full-year server revenue growth target from 100% to at least 150%. Driven by this major positive development, robust buying pressure emerged at market open on August 13, 2026, pushing the stock price to gap up and hit the daily limit at NT$937, nearing its previous peak of NT$964.
ASUS achieved consolidated group revenue of NT$257.732 billion in Q2, with brand segment revenue reaching NT$241.056 billion, representing a 39% year-over-year increase. Both gross margin and operating margin surpassed 17% and 8%, respectively, significantly improving core profitability. Combined with over NT$5 billion in non-operating gains, the company recorded a quarterly net profit of NT$19.048 billion, up 94% year-on-year. Earnings per share (EPS) reached NT$25.64 for the quarter, while cumulative net profit for the first half of the year amounted to NT$28.845 billion, with EPS of NT$38.83—both figures marking record highs for the period.
Co-CEOs David Hsu and Samson Young stated that server order visibility remains exceptionally strong. Second-quarter server revenue doubled compared to the same period last year, with HGX and GB rack systems together accounting for approximately 90% of server revenue. With new platforms launching in the second half, the company has revised its full-year server revenue growth target from 100% to at least 150%. Third-quarter server revenue is projected to grow 10% to 15% quarter-on-quarter.
Considering medium- to long-term funding needs for business expansion and incoming orders over the next few years, ASUS’s board approved the issuance of US$1.5 billion in overseas convertible bonds and US$1 billion in overseas exchangeable bonds, totaling NT$80.55 billion in overseas fundraising. This positions the company for expansion over the next two to three years. In Q4, ASUS will ramp up shipments of new AI PCs and laptops based on the RTX Spark platform and plans to launch robotics-related products by the end of this year or early next year.
In personal computing and graphics card businesses, ASUS achieved a 20% year-over-year increase in PC shipments during Q2, defying market headwinds. Revenue from high-value segments such as gaming, premium, and commercial products now accounts for 65% of total. AI PCs represent 30% of consumer notebook shipments. The company expects overall PC business revenue to grow 15% to 20% quarter-on-quarter in Q3. Additionally, with memory price increases moderating in the second half, the graphics card business is expected to recover from its downturn and return to a growth trajectory.
