Guangjie Crystal Electric (6111-TW) announced its second-quarter financial results today (14th), reporting a post-tax net profit of NT$58 million and earnings per share (EPS) of NT$0.58, marking a return to profitability after the first quarter. For the first half of the year, the company posted a consolidated net profit of NT$40 million, a 15-fold year-on-year increase, with EPS reaching NT$0.39. The company stated that following its strategic restructuring, its profitability is expected to improve significantly going forward.
In Q2, Guangjie Crystal achieved revenues of NT$3.203 billion, representing an 8.47% increase quarter-on-quarter and a substantial 173.46% year-on-year growth. Its operating net loss narrowed to NT$33 million, a 70% improvement compared to both the prior quarter and the same period last year. For the first half, total revenue reached NT$6.157 billion, up 149% year-on-year, while the operating net loss stood at NT$147 million, roughly flat compared to the previous year.
The company noted that its traditional gaming business now accounts for less than 3% of total revenue. Over recent years, through strategic investments, acquisitions, and resource integration across subsidiaries, it has brought Guan-Chao (2338-TW), Spectrum (5381-TW), Quantum (8068-TW), and ALi (3041-TW) into its corporate group. Semiconductors and heavy electrical engineering have now become the primary drivers of revenue and profit growth.
Additionally, Guangjie Crystal has acquired 100% equity stakes in two power engineering firms, Zaolong and Chinyo, with plans to consolidate them into its financial statements in the fourth quarter, completing the final piece of its Electromechanical Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) puzzle. Furthermore, if the disposal of subsidiary factory assets proceeds smoothly in the third quarter, the resulting gains will be recognized, further boosting operational performance.
