PC brand Gigabyte (2376-TW) announced its second-quarter financial results today (14th). The company posted a net profit of NT$6.61 billion in Q2, a year-on-year increase of over 100%, with earnings per share (EPS) of NT$9.86. Cumulative net profit for the first half of the year reached NT$11.87 billion, up 92.6% year-on-year, with EPS of NT$17.73. Gigabyte stated that it expects strong customer demand in the second half and has raised its capital expenditure forecast to between NT$2.8 billion and NT$3.0 billion.

Gigabyte's Q2 revenue totaled NT$144.21 billion, up 37.3% quarter-on-quarter and 41.0% year-on-year. Gross margin was 9.6%, down 2.4 percentage points from the previous quarter but up 0.2 percentage points year-on-year. Operating profit was NT$8.12 billion, up 9.5% quarter-on-quarter and 53.4% year-on-year. Operating margin was 5.6%, down 1.4 percentage points from the previous quarter but up 0.5 percentage points year-on-year. Net profit after tax was NT$6.61 billion, up 25.4% quarter-on-quarter and 116.6% year-on-year, with EPS of NT$9.86.

Cumulative revenue for the first half of the year reached NT$249.27 billion, up 48.4% year-on-year. Gross margin was 10.6%, down 0.2 percentage points year-on-year. Operating profit was NT$15.53 billion, up 63.0% year-on-year. Operating margin was 6.2%, up 0.6 percentage points year-on-year. Net profit after tax was NT$11.87 billion, up 92.6% year-on-year, with EPS of NT$17.73.

Gigabyte has raised its full-year capital expenditure forecast from the initial range of NT$2.3–2.5 billion to NT$2.8–3.0 billion. Looking ahead to the second half, Gigabyte expressed optimism about strong computing demand from AI customers, which has improved order visibility. With progress in infrastructure deployment and improvements in key component supply, shipments are expected to become smoother.

To support business expansion and overseas component procurement, Gigabyte's board of directors has approved a cash增资 to issue 40,000 to 50,000 thousand new common shares for the issuance of Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs). Each share has a par value of NT$10, and all funds raised will be used exclusively for foreign currency component purchases.
