A public opinion poll released on the 17th (Monday) by Reuters and Ipsos Group shows that U.S. President Trump's approval rating has dropped to 33%, the lowest level during his current term.

The poll concluded on the 17th, with Trump's approval rating falling from 35% in early August to the current 33%, marking the lowest point in his current presidency and matching the lowest level recorded in December 2017 during his previous term.

Reuters stated that the main reasons for the continued decline in Trump's approval rating are the prolonged conflict with Iran, surging oil prices, and inflation driving up the cost of living.

Notably, CNN reported on the 16th that the U.S. government has further scaled back its objectives in the Iran conflict, suggesting that the U.S. may be preparing to settle for less or significantly lower its expectations.

With the U.S. midterm elections approaching, the Iran conflict is severely undermining Republican campaign prospects. Some senior Republican campaign advisors have privately admitted that the party's chances of retaining control of both the House and Senate are diminishing.

Insiders revealed that Trump has already approved the release of millions of dollars from his political action committee to support Republican candidates.
