China Steel (2002-TW) announced today (24th) that its subsidiary, Chaoyang Investment, acquired 158 shares of TSMC (2330-TW) for NT$337 million between November 25, 2025, and September 24, 2026, at an average price of approximately NT$2,135.31 per share, primarily for investment purposes.

China Steel stated that following this acquisition, Chaoyang Investment's cumulative holdings in TSMC amount to 232 shares. In addition, other subsidiaries of China Steel—Zhongying Investment holding 81 shares, Xinshangyang Investment holding 15 shares, and Zhongyu Environmental Engineering holding 2 shares—bring the group's total TSMC shareholding to 330 shares, with a combined market value of approximately NT$817 million.

Recently, China Steel has been actively enhancing its cash flow through strategic investments. It recently divested its entire 6 million shares in Marui Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. at an average price of approximately NT$341.03 per share, generating a total transaction value of NT$2.046 billion. The gain from this divestment, classified as financial assets measured at fair value through other comprehensive income, will be recorded in retained earnings.
