Palantir (PLTR-US) closed at its highest price of the year on Wednesday (23rd), rebounding almost 80% from its year-low point set just three months earlier.
The stock rose 3.7% to close at $191.79 per share, marking an over 11% gain in six consecutive trading days. According to Dow Jones Market Data, this is also Palantir’s highest closing price since December last year, when shares traded at $194.17.
Yi Fu Lee, analyst at StoneX, said the recent rally stems from investor enthusiasm following the company’s last month earnings release. The 'exceptional' financial results further reinforced investor confidence that Palantir is a major beneficiary in the AI-driven stock market.
Customer Demand for AI Control: Palantir Meets Enterprise Needs
Palantir significantly raised its full-year revenue forecast, with business showing robust growth—quarterly revenue surged 149% year-on-year. CEO Alex Karp stated that customers’ desire to customize their own AI models while maintaining control over their data has been one of the key drivers behind the business expansion.
Lee also noted that Palantir recently held consumer-facing events such as AIPCon 11, which further strengthened market confidence in the company’s AI strategy.
Another catalyst for Palantir’s stock rise is the successful rollout of the Maven Smart System (MSS).
Louie DiPalma, analyst at William Blair, said the U.S. Department of Defense continues to be 'fully committed' to MSS, making it a primary driver of revenue growth in Palantir’s U.S. government business.
From AI Concept to Real-World Application: Commercial Business Set to Benefit
Lee added that broader AI adoption across commercial sectors could indirectly boost Palantir’s momentum.
The viral success of Meta Platforms’ (META-US) Muse AI agent demonstrates that AI agents are beginning to penetrate the mass consumer market, providing further proof of AI’s real-world applicability. In Lee’s view, this trend could benefit Palantir’s steadily growing commercial business.
Lee stated: 'As AI transitions from concept to actual application in both enterprise and consumer environments, investors appear increasingly willing to assign higher valuations to leading companies perceived as capable of deploying AI at scale and turning it into practical solutions.'
