Leveraging expertise gained from large-scale transformation projects and close collaboration with ecosystem partners to support faster business expansion and increased efficiency for growth companies.
Establishing Accenture's competitive advantage in high-growth markets and providing new growth opportunities created by AI to clients.
NEW YORK, [Date] – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) today announced the launch of "Accenture Edge," a new business dedicated to supporting the adoption of AI and technology for growth companies with annual revenues under $3 billion. Accenture Edge will leverage Accenture's extensive expertise cultivated through its services for major global enterprises, along with its strong ecosystem partnerships with leading technology companies worldwide, to deliver business solutions optimized for growth companies.
Accenture Edge will initially focus on supporting the implementation of solutions offered by ecosystem partner companies in key global markets, including Japan, with plans for phased expansion. The market for growth companies is estimated to be approximately $240 billion, with an expected annual growth rate in the high single digits. This initiative will accelerate value delivery to a broader range of clients for Accenture.
Growth companies are central to global economic growth and job creation. However, they face challenges similar to large enterprises, including reliance on legacy technology, increasing cyber risks, and the need to accelerate AI adoption to establish competitive advantage. In this context, these companies require appropriately scaled solutions centered on AI and technology, along with clear and measurable business outcomes. Accenture is pursuing strategic acquisitions and investments to enhance its services in this market. The company has already achieved tangible results for clients such as Churchill Downs Incorporated and The Keg Ltd.
Statement from Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture Companies driving the next generation of the economy are challenging the status quo with speed and boldness, redefining growth itself. Growth companies, like large enterprises, face numerous challenges in areas such as technology, data, AI, cybersecurity, and productivity, and they need solutions that can be implemented more quickly, are repeatable, and are optimized for their specific circumstances. Accenture has demonstrated its ability to deliver results for growth companies through its long-standing experience, ecosystem partnerships based on the latest AI, and the power of its platforms. Accenture Edge will advance our long-term growth strategy by supporting the acquisition of new opportunities created by AI, and will bring Accenture's comprehensive capabilities to the rapidly growing approximately $240 billion market.
Statement from Toshiyuki Iwasawa, Lead - Accenture Edge, Japan In Japan, Accenture Edge will deploy AI-driven transformation services, proven both domestically and internationally, to a wider range of clients, primarily through SI&C Co., Ltd., which joined Accenture in August 2025. In addition to traditional end-to-end enterprise transformation, we will strengthen solutions with repeatability and scalability to support the establishment of a foundation for rapid outcome generation. Japan's economy is supported by companies of diverse scales. By reinforcing our systems to support the transformation of these broad-based companies, we will contribute to improving Japan's overall competitiveness and sustainable growth.
Accenture Edge is built around strong partnerships with leading global technology companies, combining Accenture's platforms, accelerators, and various assets, and delivering them optimized for growth companies. Furthermore, through collaboration with these ecosystem partner companies, we will deploy solutions that can be immediately implemented on platforms. This will enable clients to achieve rapid business outcomes, including modernization of core systems, promotion of AI utilization, strengthening of customer relationships, sales expansion, security enhancement, and advancement of operations.
Accenture Edge will also collaborate with Avanade, a joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft. Avanade will continue to provide Microsoft platform-related services for growth companies, leveraging its expertise in cloud, AI, and security to support rapid and large-scale AI adoption for clients.
Statement from Marcia Dall, Executive Vice President and CFO, Churchill Downs Incorporated With Accenture's support, we have achieved the modernization of our financial operations and the streamlining of financial reporting. As a result, we can derive insights and make decisions more quickly, strengthening our foundation for future sustainable growth through innovation, advanced forecasting, and AI-driven improvements.
Statement from Craig Lucas, Director of Finance, Applications and Intelligence, The Keg Ltd. Accenture supported us in modernizing our core systems, reducing technical debt, enhancing the security and stability of our existing systems, and continuously improving operations. This collaboration has evolved beyond mere technical support into a trusted partnership that integrates technology, business strategy, and operations.
Statement from Lars Goransson, Vice President, IDC Worldwide Services Research The market for IT services for growth companies is very large and rapidly expanding. According to IDC research, companies in this segment face the same transformation pressures as Global 2000 companies, but they often lack sufficient collaboration with ecosystem partners to quickly leverage resources and AI. Accenture Edge is a dedicated operating model designed to address this gap. Instead of adapting the traditional model for large enterprises, it is specialized for growth companies, optimized for speed, cost-effectiveness, and collaboration with global ecosystem partners.
