Survey: Approx. 80% of Caregivers Find Bathing Assistance Physically and Mentally More Burdensome Than Other Tasks

A survey by NEXER and shower bathing equipment brand Viami reveals that 82% of individuals with caregiving experience find bathing assistance more burdensome than other duties. The main challenges cited include lower back strain from bending over (62%) and the risk of patient falls (58%). Nearly half of the respondents have experienced physical ailments like back pain or heatstroke as a result, highlighting the need for mechanized assistance and improved environments in caregiving facilities.
