MapleStory's Major Summer Update "CROWN" Begins!

Nexon Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President: Lee Jung-hun, TSE: 3659, hereinafter "Nexon"), a company that develops and operates online games, has launched the first part of its major summer update "CROWN" for the online MMORPG "MapleStory," serviced on PC, on July 2, 2026 (Thu).

The first part of the major summer update "CROWN" includes remasters for two classes: "Kinesis" and "Wild Hunter." Additionally, the limited-time "Challengers World," designed for rapid character growth, returns as an enhanced Season 3. This season's Challengers World introduces the new "Challengers Partner" system for playing with a partner, as well as a new season boss, "Kai." To coincide with the implementation of "Challengers Partner," a web mission event offering luxurious prizes will also be held.

Furthermore, numerous events will be held to support character development and offer valuable rewards, including the popular "Burning BEYOND" rapid growth event and the limited-time event "Phantom Falling Night."

Kinesis & Wild Hunter Remastered! Growth Events Also Held

We have implemented class remasters for "Kinesis" and "Wild Hunter." Both classes retain their core concepts while featuring refreshed, more refined visuals and effects. Kinesis benefits from system changes that improve combat tempo and operational freedom. Wild Hunter's action during Jaguar riding has been revised for simpler and speedier gameplay. Please enjoy the new play experience brought by these remasters!

Growth Event "Wild Psychic"

The "Wild Psychic" event will also be held, allowing for rapid growth of the remastered Kinesis and Wild Hunter classes. New characters created in Kinesis or Wild Hunter will receive a "Hyper Burning Booster" that allows for a +4 level increase at once up to Lv260. Additionally, through daily attendance events, you can obtain items such as pets, mount skins, and damage skins inspired by both classes, as well as exclusive medals and titles.

New Systems and New Boss Implemented: "Challengers World Season 3"

The popular "Challengers World" returns, enhanced for Season 3! Let's rapidly grow characters in this special limited-time world.

Characters created in Challengers World will receive various buffs to support their growth, and up to three "Tera Burning" characters can be created, allowing for a +2 level increase at once up to Lv200. Characters trained in Challengers World can be moved to normal worlds up to five times within a specified period.

In Challengers World Season 3, in addition to existing mission events, new missions for "Challengers Partner" and defeating the new boss "Kai" will be implemented.

Challengers Partner

A new cooperative system where characters created in Challengers World become "Partners" and play together. You can earn experience points based on the points your partner gains from hunting, allowing both to grow together. Furthermore, special defeat rewards can be obtained in combat missions where you challenge bosses as a two-person party with your partner.

New Boss "Kai"

The season boss "Kai" appears exclusively in Challengers World!

In the simultaneously held Kai Defeat Event, you can obtain rewards such as an outfit set and name tag/balloon rings inspired by Kai. Additionally, those who defeat the HARD difficulty Kai will receive first-come, first-served rewards, including the title "Chronobreaker."

"Genesis Pass" to Support Liberation of "Genesis Weapons"

Rapid Growth Events

We will also hold various growth events, including the popular Burning Event, to support character leveling.

The popular rapid growth event "Hyper Burning BEYOND" will be held. Characters designated as Burning characters will gain +4 levels at once up to Lv260, and then +1 level at once up to Lv270.

Hyper Mushroom Pass
