The Japan National Tourism Organization (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chairman Masunobu Komoda, Chairman of Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.) is pleased to announce the results of its Destination Management Human Resource Certification program, "D-Study," for the fiscal year 2025.
This program (conducted from October 6, 2025, to March 31, 2026) is one of the training courses selected by the Japan Tourism Agency as "Training for Core and Practical Human Resources of Tourism Destination Development Organizations," which is a mandatory requirement for DMO renewal with at least three participants per DMO. Aimed at cultivating human resources responsible for regional tourism development, it offers two courses: "Practical Human Resources" and "Core Human Resources," providing practical content in areas such as regional management, marketing, and organizational management.

The number of completers this time is as follows:
[Practical Human Resources] Completers: 62 individuals [Core Human Resources] Completers: 81 individuals ➡️ A total of 143 individuals have completed this program.
Looking at the affiliations of the participants, more than 70% are from DMOs and tourism associations, indicating that the program is utilized as a means to foster core human resources responsible for regional tourism promotion.
Additionally, participation is seen not only from tourism businesses but also from related fields such as local planning companies and educational institutions, as well as from government bodies, demonstrating progress with diverse stakeholders participating.
Furthermore, the elective curriculum in the "Core Human Resources" course can be chosen from three fields: "Regional Management," "Marketing," and "Organizational Management," with the proportion of participants in each field being roughly equal.

The program is delivered through e-learning (video viewing), allowing participants to take courses anytime, anywhere as long as they have an internet connection.
