Nihon Trim Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka, CEO: Ikuo Tahara), the leader in water purifier sales, will sell 300 limited sets of 'Kusatsu Melons Grown with Electrolytic Hydrogen Water,' developed in partnership with Yokoenouen (Representative: Hiroki Yokoe) in Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture, starting at 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 11, 2026, via the farm's website.

Since 2015, Nihon Trim and Yokoenouen have been conducting demonstration experiments on cultivating Kusatsu melons using electrolytic hydrogen water. Kusatsu melons are a regional brand where the 'Tokushu' (special excellence) standard requires a size of 3L or larger and a sugar content of 14.6 degrees or higher. In contrast, 'Kusatsu Melons Grown with Electrolytic Hydrogen Water' consistently achieve a sugar content of 17-18 degrees, and cumulative sales have exceeded 5,700 melons.

Last year, the melons sold out in approximately one hour, with customers highly praising their sweetness and satisfaction. Growth this year is progressing well, with harvests scheduled from late June to early July.
