NII Japan Information Industry (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo; President: Hideki Shimokawa; hereinafter 'NII'), as part of its sponsorship for the 'Art in Student Life Project' proposed and promoted by contemporary art gallerist Tomio Koyama, has begun the exhibition of Mika Ninagawa's work 'Eternity in a Moment' in the atrium lounge of the University Hall at Gunma University's Aramaki Campus starting in April 2026, under the planning and management of Galerie Nuage.

This work is one of the representative expressions known for the artist's vivid colors and unique worldview. It is expected to bring new vibrancy to the campus space where students pass by daily and provide visual stimulation and broaden their sensibilities during their daily learning.

The 'Art in Student Life Project' is an initiative where sponsoring companies loan high-quality contemporary art works to universities free of charge for permanent display in public spaces on campus, aiming to make student life more creative and enriching, and to improve the quality of thought formation and research activities.

NII has been continuously promoting sponsorship for this project, having implemented it at Meiji University since January 2025 and at Sophia University since March 2026. This exhibition at Gunma University marks the third installment, the first time in a university outside the Tokyo area, and the first time at a national university. The selection of Gunma University was also based on NII's establishment of the NII Tech Lab in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, in November 2024 as a base for future growth, with regional contribution as one of its roles. The exhibition period is planned for three years.
