Nippon Keori Co., Ltd. (NIKKE), which manufactures the wool fabric used for ANA cabin attendant uniforms, has launched an experiential program combining a fabric manufacturing factory tour and a "Wool Lab" through ANA Travelers Activity. This program allows participants to experience the charm and sustainable value of wool at the manufacturing site of a company with 130 years of history.

NIKKE has commenced a special program, "To the Factory Where ANA Uniform Fabric is Born: Factory Tour & Wool Lab Experience by NIKKE, Japan's Largest Wool Manufacturer with 130 Years of History," at its Inamine Factory in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture, via ANA Travelers Activity.

This program includes a tour of the NIKKE Inamine Factory, known for its Taisho Roman-era brick architecture and as a filming location for movies and dramas, followed by a tour of the manufacturing floor equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Here, wool fabric for uniforms worn by ANA cabin attendants and other staff is actually produced.

In the "Wool Lab," available after the tour, participants learn about fiber properties through experiments under the guidance of expert instructors. The content is designed to help participants understand wool's unique functions, such as moisture absorption/desorption and deodorization, not just theoretically but through hands-on experience, providing an opportunity to consider the balance between comfortable daily life and SDGs.

This activity allows participants to engage their senses with the advanced technology cultivated by NIKKE, Japan's largest wool manufacturer with 130 years of history, and the potential of wool, a natural material with low environmental impact. Participants will also receive a gift of "NIKKE1896 Wool Socks" offered by NIKKE.

It is a new type of factory tour that not only allows visitors to "see" the manufacturing site but also to "learn and experience," combining both tourism and educational value.
