Nishi Nippon Railroad Opens Istanbul Representative Office for International Logistics Expansion

Nishi Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd.'s International Logistics Division has opened a representative office in Istanbul, Turkey, effective June 15 of this year, commencing new operations.

Turkey is an emerging industrial nation with balanced development in industry, tourism, and agriculture, experiencing steady growth driven by exports primarily to Europe. It also maintains historical and friendly ties with Japan. Istanbul, the country's largest city straddling Europe and Asia, has evolved into a major international logistics and trade hub, serving as the economic and commercial core of Turkey.

The new representative office will strengthen collaboration with local partner companies, enhancing transportation coordination and support systems to enable swift and flexible responses. By aligning with key Turkish industries such as manufacturing, automotive, textiles, and food, the office will support clients in building and expanding their supply chains.

The Group has designated 'expansion of overseas networks' as a key strategic initiative in its 17th Medium-Term Management Plan, a three-year strategy starting this fiscal year. With the opening of this representative office as a starting point, the company will continue to deliver global logistics services and contribute to the development of sustainable social systems.
