The 'Asset Management Women’s Forum' (AMWF), a cross-industry network promoting women's advancement in the asset management sector, in which Nomura Asset Management Co., Ltd. participates, has announced the addition of two new member companies.

AMWF was launched in May 2022 by four companies: Nomura Asset Management, Daiwa Asset Management, Fidelity Investments, and Mitsubishi UFJ Asset Management. The forum has since held various events aimed at gender-neutral career formation and the creation of cross-industry networks.

Following the inclusion of au Asset Management Co., Ltd. and PIMCO Japan Ltd., the network now consists of 26 companies, expanding upon the previous 24. This growth aims to further raise awareness of the importance of promoting women's advancement within the industry.

Comment from the 2026 AMWF Chair: 'In its fifth year, our forum has strengthened its foundation with 26 member companies. We plan to streamline roles to balance the burden across firms and increase the number of working groups to foster deeper internal cohesion. Following our recognition with the 'Forbes JAPAN WOMEN AWARD 2024 Corporate Special Award for Positive Action' and the 'Tokyo Metropolitan Government Women's Participation Promotion Award Special Prize' last year, we are committed to continuing our activities to foster network cultivation, share best practices, and deliver information to younger generations.' (Ms. Aya Yamamoto, Vice President, HR, Amundi Japan)

For the current fiscal year, AMWF plans to organize five working groups to plan and manage seminars and workshops.

AMWF Objectives: - Provide opportunities for asset management employees to participate and interact, fostering an environment and network where women can thrive. - Support the promotion of women's advancement across the industry by sharing best practices among companies. - Increase awareness of women's advancement in the asset management industry through messaging to external stakeholders.
