Nordic Semiconductor Announces New Development Environment to Support Entire IoT Product Lifecycle with AI

Nordic Semiconductor, a global leader in low-power wireless connectivity solutions, has announced the introduction of AI-assisted development capabilities for the entire IoT device lifecycle. Nordic's comprehensive semiconductor-to-cloud solutions will be the first in the wireless IoT industry to offer AI-assisted workflows at every stage, from initial prototype development to post-market device operation.

Nordic's AI capabilities offer wireless IoT solution developers three key benefits. They enable rapid realization from the idea stage to proof-of-concept (PoC) on Nordic's development kits, speeding up the prototyping process. Additionally, regardless of the AI assistant used, more accurate results can be obtained with fewer attempts, reducing token costs and improving code reliability. Furthermore, even after IoT devices are deployed in real operating environments, AI-powered root cause analysis and device debugging can be performed within the same development workflow.

While much of the AI assistance in embedded development remains within the code editor, Nordic uniquely integrates hardware, software, and cloud services to enable AI-assisted development across the entire solution. This integrated functionality is Nordic's key differentiator, extending beyond the Software Development Kit (SDK) to encompass the transition to mass production and post-market device operation.
