In Hawaii, state law (Chapter 441, enacted in 1967) mandates that private cemeteries operate as "perpetual care cemeteries." At "Valley of the Temples," a "perpetual care fund" is included at the time of plot purchase. This fund is managed by state-approved institutions, eliminating the need for additional annual maintenance fees. Unlike traditional Japanese graves, no grave-tending relative is required, attracting attention as a "form of memorial service that leaves no future management burden."

The newly available "Eono Garden" section is located at the highest elevation among developed plots and offers a rare ocean view overlooking Kaneohe Bay.
