NTT West Japan Corporation (President and CEO: Ryota Kitamura, hereinafter "NTT West Japan") has developed and provides "karafuru AI (Colorful AI)"※1, a solution that leverages generative AI-based conversational training to visualize "unconscious bias (unconscious prejudice or assumptions)" hidden in everyday communication and supports behavioral transformation.
In recent years, there has been growing attention on areas related to "people," such as Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (hereinafter "DE&I"), well-being, and work-style reforms. At the same time, unconscious bias lurking in daily communication can lead to employee turnover, harassment, and loss of hiring and promotion opportunities, potentially becoming a strategic management issue affecting an organization's sustainable growth.
NTT West Japan now aims to create new value by not only fostering "awareness" of unconscious bias and supporting behavioral change but also promoting its integration into organizational culture. Starting Monday, July 13, 2026, the company will begin recruiting co-creation partners who can jointly tackle fundamental challenges in advancing DE&I.
This initiative will be conducted as the 8th edition of the business co-creation program "Business Match-up! For Next Value"※3, which NTT West Japan has been implementing since 2022 at its open innovation facility "QUINTBRIDGE," aiming to realize a future society focused on well-being by combining the assets of startups, companies, research institutions, and the NTT West Japan Group.
