NVIDIA announced on June 1, 2026, that global technology leaders are planning to adopt NVIDIA Vera, the first CPU built for AI agents.
Now in production, NVIDIA Vera is a new class of processor that enables 1.8x faster task completion compared to x86 CPUs. It handles diverse workloads, including agentic AI, reinforcement learning, and data processing, generating more token revenue for data centers.
Building on the success of the NVIDIA Grace CPU, which has shipped nearly 2.5 million units, Vera elevates performance and energy efficiency for the most demanding AI workloads in modern data centers. As agents evolve from answering basic questions to performing actions, executing code, and using tools, Vera is designed for this future.
Customers considering Vera include NYSE, Anthropic, OpenAI, SpaceXAI, ByteDance, CoreWeave, Lambda, Nebius, Nscale, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Major system manufacturers such as Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, and Supermicro are building systems with Vera.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated, "Vera is the first CPU designed for such a future, built to run agentic AI at hyperscale with incredible performance, efficiency, and programmability."
