One Eighty Opens 'Studio OE' in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo

(headquartered in Minato Ward, Tokyo; CEO: Takuro Miura), which provides digital marketing support and the DX platform 'DIGITALEYES,' has opened a new base called 'Studio OE (Studio O-E)' in Soshigaya, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo (a 7-minute walk from Soshigaya-Daijingu Station). This studio has been completely transformed through full renovation—from floors, walls, and ceilings—of a wooden house that cannot be rebuilt.

We aim to establish Studio OE as a new hub for creative output, serving as a base for client work and with future plans for space rentals and minpaku (short-term rentals).

Location and Space | An Office in Soshigaya, Setagaya Ward, True to One Eighty's Identity

As vacant houses increase nationwide and the question of how to utilize existing buildings becomes a social issue, our company has acquired a non-rebuildable house in the quiet residential neighborhood of Soshigaya, Setagaya Ward (7-minute walk from Soshigaya-Daijingu Station).

Although the property cannot be rebuilt, we saw this not as a 'limitation' but as a 'possibility.' By making the most of the existing building while creating a comfortable working environment adaptable to employees' changing lifestyles, we asked: how attractive a space can renovation create? This question marked the beginning of the Studio OE project.

As AI adoption grows and more tasks can be completed individually, we believe the value of people meeting face-to-face and collaboratively shaping plans and ideas is actually increasing. Construction began with the space stripped down to its skeleton—floors, walls, ceilings, and all equipment removed. The exposed wooden frame, which has supported the building for years, served as a solid foundation. While preserving its charm, we fully updated insulation, equipment, and interior finishes to align with modern workstyles.

We preserved the character of Showa-era glass—now rare and difficult to reproduce—and the warmth of aged wood. Rather than erasing the old, we embraced it, aiming to create a creative space where past and future connect.

Studio OE is currently operating as our new creative hub and meeting space. In the future, we are also considering its use as a time-share space or minpaku accommodation. We aim to nurture Studio OE as a model for new spatial utilization—transforming a single residence into a meaningful place for many more people.
