Okayama University held the 'University of Ottawa - Okayama University Information Exchange Session' on May 28, 2026, at the Co-Creation Innovation Lab (KIBINOVE) on the Tsushima Campus. More than 35 faculty, staff, and students from the university participated.

Okayama University and the University of Ottawa have actively engaged in research exchanges in the field of medicine (obstetrics and gynecology). This session was planned to coincide with the visit of Julie St-Pierre, Vice-President, Research and Innovation, and others, to establish a new collaboration framework in research and education. Leaders of various departments from Okayama University attended.

Okayama University President Yasutomo Nasu delivered opening remarks, expressing his hopes for deepened international academic exchange. Following this, Vice-President Julie St-Pierre introduced the University of Ottawa, and participants discussed future cooperation between the two institutions. Deans of various faculties subsequently presented their respective educational programs and research activities.

During the networking session, participants exchanged views while enjoying refreshments, discussing potential joint research projects and student exchanges.

Okayama University will continue to build cooperative relationships with strategic partners to enhance its presence as an international research university and cultivate talent capable of global success.
