Okayama University will hold a 'Helium Recycling Workshop' on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the KIBINOVE Innovation Lab on its Tsushima Campus, in a hybrid format. In response to the rising costs and supply insecurities of helium, the workshop will introduce recycling and recovery initiatives and discuss solutions for stable supply. The goal is to foster the formation of regional recycling networks and a unified national network for helium-related challenges.

Date: June 22, 2026 (Mon), 13:00–17:45 Format: In-person (KIBINOVE, Okayama University Tsushima Campus) and Online (Zoom) Program: Includes opening remarks, a status report on research infrastructure from MEXT, presentations on recycling/recovery case studies from Okayama University, KOSENs, RIKEN, etc., a panel discussion, and closing remarks.
