OKI Crosstech Co., Ltd. (President: Hiroshi Tomizawa, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter OXT), which handles the design, construction, and maintenance of ICT systems, electrical equipment, and multi-vendor equipment within the OKI Group, held the "31st IT Technical Skills Competition" on June 11, 2026, at the OXT North Kanto Training Center located within the OKI Takasaki Business Site (Location: Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture). This competition aims to foster personnel who support the stable operation of social infrastructure and achieve uniform service provision by having Customer Engineers (CEs) nationwide compete in their maintenance skills and customer response capabilities (Note 1).

Based on its nationwide maintenance network cultivated through its ATM business, OXT is expanding its maintenance services that support "unstoppable operations" from social infrastructure to the medical and GX fields. This competition has been held since 1995 to improve on-site technical skills and customer response capabilities.

For the 31st competition, 10 individuals selected from a pool of 1,200 Customer Engineers (CEs) nationwide participated. This competition evaluated not only customer response and technical skills but also the accuracy and reliability of basic operational procedures in maintenance. The competition simulated actual field scenarios, using the repair of OKI's ATM "ATM-BankIT Pro" as the subject. Participants were tested on comprehensive skills required in the field, including prompt and accurate maintenance work, accident prevention, customer handling, diagnosis and repair of equipment with complex failures, and information security and safety management.

The competition proceedings were broadcast live online to approximately 80 major bases nationwide, with commentary provided by employees. Excellent response cases were shared internally to improve the skills of all maintenance staff. Furthermore, at a networking session with the participants, a demonstration was given of the CE Assist System, which is under development to improve work quality. This system utilizes AI to suggest optimal responses based on work manuals and past cases. Through these initiatives, OXT is promoting new efforts to enhance the quality of maintenance operations and strengthen on-site capabilities.

OXT will continue to support "unstoppable operations" and contribute to the safety and security of society by fostering personnel and improving technical and customer response capabilities through initiatives like the IT Technical Skills Competition. By strengthening on-site capabilities, OXT will promote the advancement of field operation services as outlined in the OKI Group's "Medium-Term Management Plan 2031."
