Hotel Okura Kobe (Location: Chuo-ku, Kobe; President and General Manager: Satoshi Ishigaki) will host the 'Hyogo Gourmet Fair,' featuring local brand ingredients, in a four-part series across four of its restaurants. The first installment, running from August 1 (Saturday) to 31 (Monday), 2026, will offer menus with Sanda Pork as the main ingredient.
Facing both the Sea of Japan and the Seto Inland Sea, and possessing diverse topography and climates including mountains, plains, and islands, Hyogo Prefecture is known as a region blessed with rich ingredients from the sea and mountains.
Focusing on these brand ingredients that Hyogo Prefecture is proud of, the head chefs of each restaurant will offer special menus elaborated with their own ideas in this fair. The first fair in August will use 'Sanda Pork,' a brand pork raised in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, which is blessed with a rich natural environment. Characterized by its fine meat quality, elegant sweet fat, and moist flavor, you can enjoy different tastes in Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines.
At the Teppanyaki restaurant 'Sazanka,' 'Sanda Pork Steak' will be offered, allowing you to fully enjoy the flavor of Sanda Pork. By carefully grilling it on an iron plate, you can enjoy a fragrant surface and a moist texture inside. At the Chinese restaurant 'Tohkalin,' 'Spicy Cumin Stir-fried Sanda Pork' is prepared, stir-fried with the rich aroma of cumin spices. It is finished as a dish where spiciness and the richness of pork harmonize. At the casual dining 'Camellia,' you can enjoy 'Spicy Pork Grill Pilaf with Awaji Onion Curry Sauce,' combining fragrantly grilled Sanda Pork with a curry sauce that utilizes the sweetness of onions from Awaji Island. Furthermore, at the Japanese restaurant 'Yamazato,' 'Sanda Pork Kakuni Gozen' is offered, cooked slowly to lock in the flavor and finish it softly. You can enjoy the original taste of the ingredients with delicate seasoning unique to Japanese cuisine.
