Omaryama Hotel, operated by Juchi Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sakura City, Tochigi Prefecture; President & CEO: Tadahiro Kobayashi), which runs the hot spring accommodation facility "Omaryama Hotel" in Sakura City, Tochigi Prefecture, as the cherry blossom season approaches, has launched the first phase of its "Sakura Project" to promote the charm of local cherry blossoms.

"We want to deliver a spring stay experience befitting a town named 'Sakura' (cherry blossom)." With this in mind, we have planned accommodation packages themed around cherry blossoms, including a "Sakura Bath" that utilizes cherry trees that have aged and completed their role at our group's golf course, "Seven Hundred Club," and were subsequently felled.

For the Sakura Bath, staff hand-wrote messages of encouragement, such as "May your new life be fruitful" and "Be yourself and keep moving forward!" on 100 cherry blossom-shaped bath tokens, which are then floated in the bathtub.

This initiative began with the desire to contribute to sustainable regional development through stay experiences that utilize local resources as new tourism assets.

The processing of the bath tokens was carried out in collaboration with "Sugi Interior Woodcraft Museum," a local woodworking facility. This is an "upcycling" initiative that leverages local woodworking techniques, with the golf course and hotel collaborating to give new value to discarded resources.

"Sakura Full Enjoyment | All-Sakura Plan ~1 Night, 2 Meals~"

The accommodation plan offers kaiseki cuisine using seasonal ingredients from Tochigi Prefecture. Guests can enjoy spring delicacies incorporating local ingredients such as Kiguregawa-produced Yashio trout, ayu sweetfish, brand pork "Sakura Pork," Tochigi beef, and local vegetables.

For dessert, clear jelly made with Kiguregawa's underground water is served with strawberries grown at our own farm (Seven Hundred Farm Co., Ltd.).

In the guest rooms, Sakura Manju from "Kamiya," a Japanese confectionery shop in the Kiguregawa area, and Sakura tea with a cherry blossom aroma are provided. Furthermore, during dinner, a cherry blossom-themed drink service is offered. Guests can choose between "Sakura Sour" or "Sakura Fizz."
