Background and Purpose: Why Club Activities Now?
OM Network (Headquarters: Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture; CEO: Shinya Yamagishi) has established a formal club system to revitalize internal communication and improve employee well-being.
With the widespread adoption of hybrid work often leading to diminished cross-departmental interaction, the company aims to support 'enthusiasm outside of work.' By doing so, they seek to enhance psychological safety and create an organization where innovation can easily thrive.
System Proposed by Youth-led 'KAERU PJ'
This official club system was realized through the proposal of the 'KAERU PJ' (Change Project), an internal project led by younger employees focused on improving organizational culture.
By gathering internal needs through surveys and other methods, they designed a new form of interaction that is not bound by existing frameworks.
Inaugural Lineup of Clubs
The first set of approved clubs covers a wide range of activities, from sports to strategic games.
1. Activities Aiming for the 'Top' - Roundnet (Japan National Team Challenge) - Full Marathon Completion
2. Activities Combining Strategy and Refreshment - Snow Battle - Fishing Club - Golf Club
3. Activities to Improve Physical/Mental Health and Deepen Connections - Kickboxing - Board Game Club (Test Run)
Future Outlook
The company remains committed to creating an environment where 'work' and 'fun' are continuous. The goal is to leverage the teamwork and positive energy gained through these club activities to improve services for customers and provide greater value to society.
