Onsen Dojo Displays Forgotten Towels as Teru Teru Bozu at 3 Facilities

Onsen Dojo Inc., a subsidiary of ONDO Holdings, will hold the 'Forgotten Towel Teru Teru Bozu' event at three of its hot spring facilities: Showa Retro Onsen Sento Tamagawa Onsen, Ofuro cafe Hakuju no Yu, and Chichibu Yumoto Bukou Onsen. During the rainy season, the most common lost item at hot springs is towels. Unclaimed towels are repurposed and displayed as Teru Teru Bozu dolls. Guests who find their forgotten towels can ask the front desk staff to retrieve them. The event runs at Hakuju no Yu from June 8 to June 30, 2026. At Tamagawa Onsen, it starts June 1, 2026, until the end of the rainy season. At Bukou Onsen, it runs from the beginning to the end of the Kanto rainy season. Guests are encouraged to refresh themselves at the hot springs during the unstable rainy season weather.
