Ongen Publishing will release the third installment of its 'Venus Audio Grade SACD Selection' collaboration with Venus Records on May 27, 2026. This edition, selected by jazz critic Yasukuni Terashima, focuses on piano trios. The SACD will be priced at 4,950 JPY (tax included) and sold on the company's e-commerce site, PHILEWEB.shop. Ongen Publishing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yusuke Kazama) is developing the "Venus Audio Grade SACD Selection" in collaboration with Venus Records, an SACD series featuring tracks carefully selected by critics from Ongen Publishing's audio specialty magazines for their "superior recording" quality. The third installment, a selection by jazz critic Yasukuni Terashima titled "Yasukuni Terashima / Venus Audio Grade SACD Selection Vol.3 Venus Piano Trio Edition by Yasukuni Terashima," will be released on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Venus Records, which has been dedicated to creating a jazz paradise in Japan with its focus on sound, was established in 1992 by producer Tetsuo Hara. Recordings are done overseas, and Mr. Hara himself handles the mixing and mastering. The "Venus Audio Grade SACD Selection" collaboration with Ongen Publishing previously released its first volume in May 2024, selected by audio critic Masamitsu Fukuda, and its second volume in August 2025, selected by audio critic Yoshiyuki Ishida.

This third release features 10 tracks focused on piano trios from the Venus Records catalog, carefully selected by jazz critic Yasukuni Terashima, compiled into a single album.
