First e-sports facility 'PLAY HUB KITAKAMI' opens in Kitakami, Iwate; Pasoul provides full sponsorship

On May 10, 2026, 'PLAY HUB KITAKAMI', the first e-sports facility in Iwate Prefecture, officially opened in Kitakami City. Operated by the Iwate e-Sports Association, the facility is located on the first floor of a mixed-use apartment building near Kitakami Station, serving as a hub for both competitive play and community learning.

Pasoul, a domestic PC brand, sponsored the facility by providing high-performance desktop and laptop gaming PCs.

The facility is equipped with five high-spec gaming PCs and features accessibility controllers to ensure that individuals with disabilities can also participate, creating an inclusive environment.

Moving forward, the facility will host tournaments, programming classes, and community events, functioning as a local hub for e-sports activity.
