Ono Photo Studio Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Representative Director: Tetsuto Ono)'s volunteer project "Mirai Lab" held a "Hair & Makeup and Photo Shoot Event" for residents on June 10, 2026, at Hongo no Mori Ohisama-kan in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

This event was planned with the desire to deliver smiles to residents and their families through "beauty" and "photography."

Mirai Lab is a volunteer project launched by Ono Photo Studio in 2023. We aim to plan and realize initiatives based on what we can do for our local community and society, starting from scratch.

While considering initiatives in collaboration with local elderly care facilities, we consulted with the facility staff. We learned that many residents, even those who don't usually wear makeup, are interested in hair and makeup, and that many families express a desire to "preserve photos that capture their loved ones as they are."

Therefore, "Mirai Lab" planned an event combining hair and makeup with photography, aiming to "beautifully capture the present moment" and "bring joy not only to the residents but also to their families."

In this event, 48 out of 50 residents wished to have their photos taken, and 20 of them also experienced hair and makeup. After the shoot, we heard comments such as "It was very fun" and "It became a lifelong memory," making it a time filled with smiles. The event's progress and the photos taken were made available for families to download from their smartphones.

Moving forward, "Mirai Lab" will continue to engage in activities that create smiles across generations through beauty, photography, and community collaboration.
