Background on the Opening of the Shikoku Sales Office

Ono Ken Steel operates as a steel coil center for the Ono Ken Group, focusing on the wholesaling and processing of steel plates, primarily serving manufacturers in the Chugoku region, centered in Hiroshima. To expand our share in the Shikoku area and further enhance customer convenience, we have established the Ono Ken Steel Shikoku Sales Office within the existing Ono Ken Shikoku Office premises.

Future Initiatives at the Shikoku Sales Office

Previously, we addressed the needs of customers in the Shikoku region on a business-trip basis. With the opening of this office, we will strengthen collaboration with the Ono Ken Shikoku Office and initially focus on joint sales visits to increase brand awareness. Furthermore, we aim to leverage synergies by complementing the offerings of both companies, including Ono Ken's strengths in structural steel and pipes, and Ono Ken Steel's specialties in pickled steel plates, electro-galvanized steel plates, and stainless steel plates, which were added two years ago.

Ono Ken Steel possesses a fleet of 17 vehicles, including trailers, covering the Chugoku, Shikoku, and Hyogo regions. Our strength lies in this mobility, combined with our ability to flexibly handle processing of various steel plates and adjust delivery schedules. With the establishment of the Shikoku Sales Office, we will be able to approach customers who were previously inaccessible on a business-trip basis and provide more detailed services. We are also exploring coordination across the entire Ono Ken Group in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions, with a goal to eventually establish an independent office and warehouse.

I have previously been in charge of sales in Yamaguchi, Shimane, Tottori, and Hyogo, but Shikoku is a new territory for me. Although I do not have local ties, I will utilize my agility to increase visits to customers and work on building relationships of trust. Guided by the basic philosophy of Ono Ken Steel, 'Community-Based,' and the Ono Ken Group's mission, 'Contributing to Nation-Building, Town-Building, and Manufacturing,' I am committed to contributing to the development of Ehime Prefecture and the Shikoku region.
