On May 25, 2026, Root held its annual general meeting and approved the waiver of non-compete restrictions for new directors (including independent directors). The directors granted this waiver include Ma Chih-kang, Ho Chen-tan, Liang Sui-chang, Chen Chun-ming, and Hsu Tzu-mei, representing Kindom Construction, as well as independent directors Huang Hung-chin, Wan Tung-hsuan, and Lin Kuo-feng. The waiver allows these directors to invest in or manage other companies with similar business scopes, provided it does not harm Root's interests. The resolution was passed with the attendance of shareholders representing more than two-thirds of the total issued shares and a majority vote of the attending shareholders. This does not involve business operations in mainland China.
