Report Content: Media reported that the Ministry of Health and Welfare imposed a NT$165 million fine on Zhonglian Oils Co., Ltd. regarding the benzo[a]pyrene food safety incident. Additionally, Taichung City Government stated it will impose a NT$3 million fine on our company under the Food Safety and Sanitation Management Act.

7. Reasons for the Event: (1) The NT$165 million penalty imposed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare on Zhonglian Oils Co., Ltd. is an administrative action taken by the competent authority against Zhonglian Oils. (2) Our company is not the subject of the aforementioned NT$165 million administrative penalty. Zhonglian Oils is an equity investee of our company. If the penalty is finalized, we will recognize an investment loss in accordance with the 'IFRS International Financial Reporting Standards'. (3) Regarding the media report that Taichung City Government will impose a NT$3 million fine on our company, as of now, our company has not yet received an official penalty notice or any related administrative action notification from the competent authority. (4) Regarding the reported fine amount and related content concerning our company, we will handle the matter in accordance with relevant regulations upon receipt of official documents from the competent authority.
