(Headquarters: Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture, 30th generation head Otsuya Magozaemon) opened an unmanned self-checkout store "Orange BOX Mitani Sangyo Kanazawa Head Office Store" at the headquarters of Mitani Sangyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture) on March 31, 2026.

This opening marks our company's first store expansion into Ishikawa Prefecture.

First Expansion into Ishikawa Prefecture - The First Step in Hokuriku Area Development Founded in 1573, Otsuya has operated community-based convenience stores such as "Orange BOX" primarily in Fukui Prefecture. In recent years, we have been promoting the development of small store models linked with facilities, such as in-company stores and stores within accommodation facilities.

This opening at Mitani Sangyo Co., Ltd. is our first expansion into Ishikawa Prefecture, and it marks the first step in opening up new markets in the Hokuriku area.

Unmanned Self-Checkout Creates an Easy-to-Use Environment During Work Breaks This store adopts an unmanned self-checkout system, creating an environment where employees can easily use it during their work breaks.

The sales floor will primarily feature products that are easy to use daily, such as beverages and snacks. In line with the characteristics of being within a facility, the sales floor will be designed to be efficient and space-saving.

Future Plans to Strengthen Collaboration with Accommodation Facilities and Tourist Hubs Otsuya has previously built a "facility-linked model" that leverages regional characteristics, such as store development within hotels and accommodation facilities.

Going forward, we will strengthen collaboration not only with in-company stores but also with accommodation facilities and tourist hubs, promoting the development of diverse store models in the Hokuriku area.
