Orient Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shin Umemiya; hereinafter "Orico") and Money Forward X, Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Daisuke Motokawa; hereinafter "Money Forward X") have jointly planned and developed "mitosel" (hereinafter, "this service"), a financial management and cash flow platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and sole proprietors. This service is primarily a smartphone-based service to be launched by Orico. Its features include the ability to complete everything from grasping financial status to fundraising, supporting swift decision-making for SMEs and sole proprietors facing cash flow challenges.

The PC browser version and Android version have been available since June 30, 2026, and the iOS version will be available from July 3, 2026.

Purpose of Provision

Approximately 33 million people, about 70% of all employees in Japan, work for SMEs, making them a vital presence supporting the Japanese economy. However, many SMEs and sole proprietors must continuously address management challenges such as labor shortages due to population decline and cash flow issues. These are considered challenges that affect not only the growth of individual companies but also the sustainable growth of the entire Japanese economy.

This service will provide a centralized platform for essential financial services for SME management, visualize cash flow, and offer an environment for easily understanding future cash flow. This will support swift and appropriate decision-making and DX of operations, contributing to the sustainable growth of companies.

Background of This Collaboration

Orico and Money Forward X have been working to advance financial services utilizing data and technology through joint development of an "AI Credit Scoring Model※" and the deployment of services using this model. Through such collaborations, we have identified the potential for providing new value beyond traditional financial services by combining the strengths of both companies.

Money Forward X has extensive experience in developing services for corporations, centered on its "Account Aggregation Platform" that acquires and integrates data from multiple financial institutions and services. It excels in service design that allows intuitive operation of complex financial management through UI/UX design from the user's perspective.

On the other hand, Orico has a broad customer base among small and medium-sized businesses through its business cards and various financing services, possessing expertise in cash flow needs and the capability to provide financial services. By merging the resources of both companies, we determined that it would be possible to realize a new platform that comprehensively supports everything from "visualizing funds" to "optimal fundraising and decision-making," leading to this collaboration on this service.

〈Features〉

1. Centralized Management of Bank Accounts and Credit Cards

Balances from multiple financial institutions and transaction details from credit cards are displayed in real-time on a dashboard screen. This eliminates the need to log in to each financial institution to check, allowing for real-time grasp of the current financial status.

2. Streamlining Invoice and Payment Management

By taking a photo of received invoices with a smartphone camera and uploading it, the text information is automatically read and registered electronically. This simplifies the management of invoices, payment schedules, and due dates, and provides visibility into future cash flow.

3. Seamless Support from Fund Visualization to Fundraising and Payments

Past and future deposit and withdrawal information is managed on a single screen, allowing for intuitive understanding of cash flow through graphs and calendars. If necessary, invoice card payments and applications for business loans can be completed within the app. The optimal method can be selected according to the financial situation, and flexible payments are possible even when business partners do not support card payments.

Approach to Small and Medium-sized Businesses and Expansion of Customer Base Starting with Financial Management

We will strengthen information provision and communication tailored to financial management needs for existing business card members and invoice card payment users to promote service utilization. Furthermore, we will promote adoption through sales activities via our nationwide merchant network, and by appealing "visualization of cash flow" and "visualization of management," we will promote increased awareness among non-user business segments.

Future Prospects of Both Companies

Orico has set "Contributing to the realization of a cashless society that is safe, secure, and convenient for individuals and SMEs" as one of its important materialities in its medium-term management plan. Through the provision of "mitosel," we will support SMEs and sole proprietors in solving their financial management and management challenges, contributing to sustainable growth and productivity improvement.

Furthermore, starting with this service, Orico and Money Forward X will utilize accumulated data and customer touchpoints to enhance the accuracy of future fund forecasts, as well as expand functions such as cash flow analysis and recommendation features, and invoice factoring. Moving forward, both companies will continue to work on creating new value by strengthening services that fuse finance and technology, aiming to simultaneously solve social issues and improve corporate value.
