Oricon Inc. announced the results of its customer satisfaction survey regarding "Debit Cards," conducted by its subsidiary, oricon ME, on its official website on June 1, 2026.
In this first-ever survey, Sony Bank WALLET (Visa debit-enabled cash card) took the top spot overall. It ranked first in three categories: "Ease of Use," "Points/Cashback," and "Security Measures," and also topped the rankings for users in their 40s, 50s, and 60s and above.
Olive Flexible Pay (General) Debit Mode ranked second overall, followed by the SBI Sumishin Net Bank Debit Card in third place.
According to the survey, the most common frequency of debit card usage is "2-3 times a month" (30.0%). Furthermore, with the spread of cashless payments, debit card transaction volume has grown from 1.3 trillion yen in 2018 to 5.5 trillion yen in 2025, an increase of approximately 4.2 times, outpacing the growth of cashless payments as a whole.
The survey targeted 4,880 men and women aged 15 to 84 nationwide who use a debit card in their own name at least once a month.
