ORIGRESS Co., Ltd. (HQ: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Yu Yoshitake), an entertainment capital delivering 'fun' to the world, will hold the immersive theater event 'THE ROAD TO GOLD —To the Unseen Treasure—' as part of Shizuoka Prefecture's 'Fiscal 2026 Suruga Bay Ferry Passenger Flow Creation Project' (contractor: SoftBank Corp.).
This project is an 'experiential immersive theater' where the audience enters the narrative space themselves, guiding the conclusion through conversations with characters, investigations, and missions.
The stage includes the interior of the Suruga Bay Ferry 'GOLD ROAD' (partially chartered), the area around Toi Port, and the Izu peninsula's largest gold mine, 'Toi Gold Mine.' Audience members enter the story, which circles Suruga Bay, as 'treasure hunt' participants.
Within the story, characters' intentions intersect, leading to various investigations and missions. A unique aspect of this project is that the way characters interact and the perspective of the story change interactively based on the audience's own actions and choices.
Over the course of about seven hours, the project incorporates 'actual places' such as the sea voyage on Suruga Bay with views of Mount Fuji, the atmosphere of the port town, and the historic gold mine into the story. It elevates travel and sightseeing into entertainment, creating an immersive experience that can only be savored on-site.
Planning, sales, and implementation are managed by ORIGRESS Co., Ltd. Production, script, and game direction are by Sally Co., Ltd., which specializes in murder mysteries and immersive experiences. Casting and acting direction are handled by SPAC (Shizuoka Performing Arts Center), highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally based in Shizuoka Prefecture. These three companies have teamed up to deliver a unique immersive experience around Suruga Bay.
