Otsuka Corporation Achieves Highest 'A' Rating in CDP Supplier Engagement Evaluation

Otsuka Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Yuji Otsuka), a solution provider, has achieved the highest 'A score' in the 2025 'Supplier Engagement Rating (SEA)' conducted by CDP, an international environmental information disclosure platform, and has been selected as a 'Supplier Engagement Leader' for the first time.

The CDP Supplier Engagement Rating assesses how companies address climate change issues within their supply chains, with ratings ranging from A to D-.

The company has obtained certification from the SBT initiative for its greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets, set with 2030 as the target year, and has also set a 2050 net-zero goal in its environmental policy.

Furthermore, the company has formulated a 'Sustainable Procurement Policy' to promote sustainable procurement and requests specific initiatives from its business partners through its 'Sustainable Procurement Guidelines.' Since 2022, the company has been sending questionnaires to major business partners to investigate their progress. For partners who respond, the company provides feedback reports evaluating their status on a four-level scale. Since 2024, for partners who have not calculated their GHG emissions, the company has been providing reference materials regarding the calculation of GHG emissions (Scope 1 and 2).

The company believes that these initiatives led to its selection as a 'Supplier Engagement Leader.'

Moving forward, Otsuka Corporation remains committed to promoting efforts aimed at achieving net zero throughout its supply chain.
