Although nearly half have not experienced issues, some reported problems such as water leaks, malfunctions, and damaged parts during the cleaning process.

Despite cleaning it themselves, fewer than 30% felt they had cleaned the internal components thoroughly, and 29% subsequently hired professional air conditioner cleaning services.

Only 15% clearly stated they want to continue cleaning their AC units by hand in the future.
