Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2026: Seeking 100 Listener Jurors for J-WAVE SOUND OF CINEMA Award <Deadline: April 9th>

The Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA), Asia's largest international short film festival accredited by the U.S. Academy Awards, is seeking 100 listener jurors from radio station J-WAVE to select the recipients of the "J-WAVE SOUND OF CINEMA Award," which is presented to short film works where "sound" such as music, singing, voice, sound effects, and musical instruments play a unique and effective role.

This project allows J-WAVE listeners to evaluate the potential of "sound" in short films and decide the award-winning works from those submitted to SSFF & ASIA 2026, focusing on films where "sound" elements like music, singing, voice, sound effects, and musical instruments play a unique and effective role. Ten out of the selected listener jurors will be randomly chosen to receive an invitation to the SSFF & ASIA 2026 Opening Ceremony, held on May 25th (Monday) at the newly opened TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY, where they will enjoy the stage where this award is announced.
